+ The Angel chest of drawers by Piurra is one of the latest projects by this Porto furniture design company led by Rui Viana.
+ The REM bedspread by AZE Design is a good reflection of all the nocturnal movements that take place when we think we are one lump of sleep.
+ Second Hotel commissioned Emil Goh to update a signature lampshade, so Goh added a hanger where notes could be clipped, postcards displayed or lightweight books left to rest without blocking any light.
+ The modular Witjes cupboards by Reinier de Jong are fronted by different shades of white, resembling the old Dutch ‘witjes’ tiles that varied in colour due to inferior production techniques.
+ François Legault is a Montreal lighting designer who has recently focused his work on designs for the restaurant and hotel fields. Legault uses cutlery and cups and saucers to create chandeliers and light fixtures that belong in the kitchen.
+ The (8)Ate pencil sharpener by Paul Sandip is a dual sharpener geared for two different pencil sizes. And it happens to be the winner of a Red Dot Design Award.
+ These Heat Shrink Vases by Steven Haulenbeek look like porcelain, but are made of heat shrink tubing and a shot glass.

That lampshade is a real throwback. My grandfather was a medic in the army and in many of his photos hanging from the ceiling in some obscure field hospital was a very similar lampshade.
The hanger is a really great functional idea. I would clip some mini speakers to it and have music right in the middle of the room.
