Art Basel Miami Beach is the anchor to over 20 other art-based fairs that take place in Miami over the same four-day period, drawing international visitors who are interested also in design. It is the ideal opportunity for design houses to open up to artists, as in the case of the Hilton Brothers Love Affair, which was presented by Kartell at the flagship store in the design district. Christopher Makos and Paul Solberg opened their Andy Dandy exhibition of photographs as the Hilton Brothers, and were responsible for the front display that featured Kartell’s new Mademoiselle DG chair, according to Paolo Cravedi, the new managing director of Kartell US. And yes, that DG does stand for Dolce & Gabbana, so the event was a mix of art, design and fashion. More Andy Dandy at Art MoCo.
