Dandelion: TIWE Watch
by sabine7 / November 20, 2007

Lv Zhongfang’s design for the TIWE watch was inspired by memories of impressionism and starry nights. The OLED display conjures up images of the universe and the dots move freely through the dark sky when not in use. However, when you need to know the time, just tap the surface or shake the watch and the dots will align to show the time. Lv Zhongfang is another participant in the Dandelion on-line exhibition of Asian industrial designers. The stars align after the jump.

Appearances to the contrary, I have been a modernist (and minimalist) at heart for over 30 years and I must say that this watch is very, very cool!

Great design, unique method of use and really fine looking.

I must have one.

This is not real yet, and when it is real it won't look as good because it will be at a finite resolution (the circles will not be perfectly round and smooth, but pixelated). Still a really really cool design.
