A little over a year ago we showed you the renderings architect Neil Denari prepared for the Alan Family House extension in Los Angeles. A few days ago the New York Times ran an article about the completed project, complete with photos. The original house, built in 1940, was only 1,100 square feet – a bit of a tight fit for a family of five. Denari left the front of the bungalow intact and created an addition of 1,050 square feet at the back. This new wing gives a sleek space age effect that has added loads of living space, but caused the family to live more simply. Hmm, that $700K has got to be a typo...


















Wow! It's hard to imagine what the original builders of that home might think about the changes!
