It is always a pleasure to see designers have fun with the chest of drawers, so often prone to the mundane. But Judson Beamont showed a stellar piece during 100% Design Tokyo, that functions as storage as well as installation. Woodwork was successful as far balancing acts were concerned, and Sunnin swung out with its stack of storage. And if hiding things away is already under control, there were sleek tables to show your stuff, like the designs from Nakata and Swedese, as well as Michael Young, creative director for this year’s 100% Design Tokyo. More after the jump, including a fun green stool.
