There was a definite zen side to some of the exhibits at Design Tide. Amidst the hustle and bustle of the show and the excess of visual stimuli, the most simple displays brought moments of respite and calm. Installations of designs by Belgium’s Sylvain Willenz and the laminated bamboo lumber project by the Product Project Party collective brought together simple, yet effective designs that work. The All-In-One Book and Shelf by Bach is particularly compelling and the furniture from Cibone and Sfera was presented with elegance.
