The simplicity of white is always eye-catching, as was the case of many displays during Design Tide. There was the Big Dipper installation by Sarah van Gameren where entire chandeliers were dipped in candle wax and Winnie Lui’s chandeliers of white found objects for Innermost. Work by Tomoko Azumi, Maxray and Takeo was put together in a theatrical sort of way and Cibone was showing a fabulous lamp base resembling a stack of books. In contrast, Johanna Strand Pipe luminaries were much quieter pieces, as was the Canvas Furniture by Martí Guixé.
