There are two things certain about Edmonton, 1) cold and snowy winters, and, 2) it is fertile ground for new up and coming designers. Whitemoose is the newest group of designers with like-minds who started a group aimed at thoughtful Canadiana. With products such as the shelter light and fauna magnetic coasters, say the designers, "White Moose is sort-of an homage to Canadiana and the North. It references minimalism, modernism and ties in nature". JGB

This is crazy! I'm from Edmonton, and I find it to be a desolate hell hole where Design comes to die...but this has obviously proven me wrong. I really hope that whoever runs this company will stay in Edmonton and encourage a growth in the design industry, because right now, its pretty bad. (In terms of jobs and opportunities, not talent...we have lots of talent, they just all move to Vancouver!)
Thanks for the article.
