The VEST Collective is a group of 6 young designers, Erin Neal, Jessica Lertvilai, Jonathan Sabine, Katy Chan, Matthew Birth and Sally McCubbin, that has looked as smuggling as a theme for their latest designs. These limited editions involve goods that are commonly smuggled and the methods employed to do so. VEST takes a look at the ideas of contraband and the value of goods in relation to their limited availability, as well as broader terms of luxury, boundaries and rules. Picyured above is the Goods modified plate by Jonathan Sabine.The VEST collection will be shown at MADE in Toronto, from September 6 through October 20.
