This Week from Tokyo

+ The Japanese Ministry of the Environment has come up with a great guide on how you should wrap things using a traditional furoshiki (wrapping cloth) -- you can download a larger PDF file here. Perfect for that Jun Aoki or Kengo Kuma "Architexture" furoshiki you may have lying around.

+ From Tokyo to New York: Not only is MUJI opening their first US store in New York this fall (at the New York Times building), they're already planning on a second one in the city (455 Broadway), and have now launched an offical US site for the brand.

+ Taeki Oh's "Conceptual Drawing Table" has a surface that interacts to pressure put onto it. Via JoshSpear.com.

+ A combination MP3 player and shower head? That's exactly what Yanko Design has come up with, designed by Hae Lim. Via Core77. JS

How did you even find this? This is fantastic. As usual Japan leading the rest of the world, this time in sustainable packaging. Thanks MocoLoco.

Awesome! I've been wondering just how to wrap things in furoshiki!
