Black Design
+ A recent article on PingMag takes a look at the growing popularity of black in Japanese design, including some black toilet paper by Renova.

+ If you haven't already, a visit to the ATELIER MUJI gallery space at the brand's flagship store in Yurakucho is usually well worth the trip. The current show, which runs until next week (July 31), covers the idea of examining things from different perspectives, which is surely a theme appropriate for MUJI.

+ Looking to get your hands on some of the design goodness you see in these posts? Head down to the latest select shop from IDEA International, Idea Seventh Sense, located on the 4th floor of recently opened (in May) Shin-Marunouchi Building, near Tokyo station. JS

I just want to say that Renova is a Protuguese brand, and not Japanese.

I just painted my old Philips refrigerator black, so i guess i'm nicely following the trends. I've always been a big fan of Japanese Design.
