Anna Torfs is a Prague-based glass designer who specializes in translating traditional Bohemian techniques into contemporary designs for modern use. Torfs left a background of interior architecture and stage design to create blown glass vases, often without using moulds. Bubbles is completely finished in the hot shop and its top is shaped in the fire to close off the bubbles (created in a process involving soda and temperature change) to flow up to the top. Big Mo, Middle Mo and Small Mo are blown balls with 2 cut sides, which enables them to be used in 2 positions. Djini, however, is an example of bowls blown in a mould.
