The week at Art MoCo started as many weeks often do, with thoughts of bludgeoning all those nasty Monday things that get in the way. The Inky Dreadfuls drawings by Michael Mararian were very helpful in this respect.

Things settled down on Tuesday with Souther Salazar’s cheerful and calming collages took us away to more delightful surroundings.

Then José Lerma startled us slightly with fleshy bits and body parts, most of which bore some resemblance to Pinocchio.

Peter Reginato let us lose ourselves in his abstract paintings, a two-dimensional change from his sculptures.

And Hyung Koo Kang ended the week with several rather serious gazes from the likes of Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso and Vincent van Gogh. SM
