Belgian designer Lucile Soufflet has a way with public seating. Her lacquered steel circular benches are perfect as tree surrounds, but work just as well on their own, with the seat back extending out of the coil. The Behavioural Bench collection is a series of benches with a variety of backrest positions that reflect the wide range of seating public benches accommodate. 2 Chairs and a Square is an installation that shows how space can be delimited and asks “What are we supposed to be looking at?”
