Anselm Reyle’s rainbow stripes and monochromatic embodiments of minimalism are highly saturated smacks of high impact abstraction and it is Reyle’s combo of colour and texture that makes his work pop.
Zhang O’s photography is a must-see. Her body of work is quite varied, and thematically quite arresting, ranging from studies of the one-girl families of rural Chinese villages to western adoptions of such girls and then again to black shocks of hair.
Bucharest painter Nicolae Comanescu shares a vision of one of his favorite neighbourhoods in his Beach Culture in Bercsényi collection. Urban beach, of course.
Meri Page mixes shells and stones with pretty coloured glass to bold effect. Especially of note are her sliced nautilus shells.
Luke Feldman’s Skaffs are graphic illustrations of smoothly perky characters that people decks and decals. Eye candy in many a flavour. SM
