Last year lighting was the big news at ICFF. This year it took a back seat to kids, but it was interesting all the same. Here are our picks. The Free University of Bozen - Bolzano's House Creatures exhibit featured several lighting concepts, a tall-grass-like LED, a floor lamp/ magazine rack/ potted plant, a backlit Corian kitchen back splash for kitchen utensils and a magnetic light in two parts that when assembled 'turned on' and off when apart. Mindspring's modular Faro light can be made into a pendant, a table lamp or ambient lighting, RISD had a table/lamp/chandelier, Oluce a translucent black table lamp with the bulbs hidden well inside with only the filaments showing, Sydney Cash's reflective lights and Refer + Staer's pendant lamp/ mini chandelier. More after the jump.
