Unal&Boler Studio just launched some very creative shelf-and-seating units in Milan. Budak, which means “knot in timber”, grows from a single unit to form a much larger structure without adding any screws or fasteners, as each piece can lock to the others. Kovan is the same type of structure, but based on individual units that are isosceles trapezoids. These units have mounting fixtures and doors and drawers can also be added to create compositions that offer seating, shelving, tables and storage.

Hmm, it looks a bit unstable, but I guess it's not as he can sit on it...
By the way, I'm doing a "green" week at my blog this week, which means that I only post about ecological design. It would be great if you would like to join in on that theme, as there is so much lovely sustainable design out there, just waiting to be found. We would have a huge bank of links and tips at the end of the week, and I will try to collect them all for a list on ecological products. Just drop me a comment on my blog if you'd like to join in, and i'll put a link up for your blog!
