Uli Rapp gives contemporary jewellery some Elizabethan flavour by screenprinting designs from the 16th century onto fabric and rubber for the ultimate in comfortable wearability. Uli, who is also a fabric designer, combines old and new printing techniques in her Amsterdam studio to create pieces that run the gamut from pearls to bling, but from a completely different in-your-face perspective. Not for the stuck-up. SM
