Swedish designer Monica Förster created the Forest room divider for Modus Furniture and launched in Milan. Although meant to be functional, this piece can also work beautifully as an art installation and indeed, may end up being a distraction, being the type of piece that invariably leads to daydreaming. But Monica Förster does not always have her head in the clouds (although she has proven clouds make fine meeting rooms!). Some of her other pieces are fully grounded, like Wardrobe, a series of vases based on classic black fashions.

Monica, we love your FOREST room divider. This piece immediately brings to mind the saying "You can't see the forest for the trees", yet you have counteracted this notion by allowing for adequate space between blooms, leaves and stems. Does this room divider intentionally reflect a way out from the present-day chaos that surrounds us or is it in response to something more personal? Or … wait for it …is it simply what it is?
Thanks very much for that. It is simply what it is - everything and nothing at the same time but I like your translation - you can't see the forest for all the trees.....

Wardrobe vases.
The world is already full of 'stuff' – as a designer, why do you choose to create more?
The world is already full of music - why is there then more music done?

Cloud - a portable, inflatable meeting room in ripstop nylon.

What happened to products that are truly functional and user-friendly? In my opinion nowadays everything is over-designed. There is too much design.
For instance, Who is going to have a meeting in a inflatable meeting room? It doesn't serve a purpose.
