When we first saw Jeff Crandall’s Poet’s Bottles, we knew we wanted to know more. Crandall started his career as a poet, but became involved in glasswork when employed by the Pilchuck Glass School as a grant writer! Based in Seattle, Crandall creates poems out of sandblasted bottles with text that provide instructions on how to use the contents. This striking combination of bottles of Evil (contains malice, dark thoughts, fiendish deeds, laughter and no regrets), Apologies (made with sincerest regrets) and Congratulations (contains amazement, pride, sweet joys, fine accomplishments and continued success) is our favorite, although the Faith (danger: do not lose), Hope (warning: do not abandon) and Truth (caution: do not dilute) series could probably come in handy.
