Chicago-based MoCo Loco contributor Joshua Wentz sent me a copy of Sidedown Monograph #1, a project he's been working on, and that I've been following, for several months. Sidedown is, in his words, is "a decidedly random collective of writers, artists, musicians, designers and appreciators", and the monograph is a book about the website/organization that is "the same: random, fun, and inherently collaborative.". A 200 page compilation of stories, artwork, and design concepts by 11 creators with several handmade extras, a limited edition print, some stickers, and more. The theme? An Enemy's Friend. A topic that spans not only the monograph but is also the title of the new album from Des Sovere, a quasi-companion CD to the book. You can see a whole bunch of pages from the book here.
