Thank you for all the MoCo directories comments and suggestions, we've decided to rename the project MoCo Local after we got the suggestion from Geoff, who it turns out is designer Geoffrey Lilge, who we interviewed here a while ago. As it's the "best answer, as determined by a highly unscientific survey of MoCo contributing editors" he will be getting a copy of Phaidon's Max Huber book. Why MoCo Local? The name is both descriptive and evocative; for those who don't know MoCo Loco, [Mo]dern [Co]ntemporary Local describes it well enough and for those who do know MoCo Loco, it's an interesting twist on a familiar name.
Our MoCo LoCo banner post also got a few comments and suggestions, thanks again for those. 2a Rothko Ripple appears to be the reader favorite and it's good to know that 2b Rothko Ripen is the "least annoying" of the eye candy, 'cause that was our fave! 2b or not 2b, we're not sure yet.

Sheesh! Someone 's a bit touchy about my "least annoying" comment.
My appologies... maybe, I should have used another word.
I guess what I was trying to say was that I think the ripples may have more longevity. While the eye candy may be more "cutesey" the novelty might wear off more quickly... if it's used sparingly or, even randomly, I think it might work well.... still, the ripples feel very classic and serene by comparison.
