Come Up To My Room: Castor Canadensis
by Harry / February 28, 2007

The Castor Canadensis room was filled with the ubiquitous Canadian extension cord. Every household in Canada has one, especially for the Winter, to plug in car bloc heaters. Castor used two kilometers(!) worth of extension cord to make their lighting installation. Says Brian Richer from Castor, "I like taking mundane objects and putting them into different contexts", and regarding this installation, "it's the opposite of our other light, incandescent lit with fluorescent vs. fluorescent lit with incandescent, and we wanted to go outside the room this time. We thought it would look nice.". Thank you to the other Castor, Ryan Taylor, for the night pics.
