The Vest Collective had a number items in their booth. Of note, Mathew Birtch's Ascii Nouveau mirror above and Shannon Mcleod's Grave Goods (good name!).

Mathew Birtch and his laser etched ascii art mirror. "For this project I took two recent trends: mirrors cut to two dimensional representations of classic frames, and back painted glass. And then introduced the ancient (in Internet years) technique of drawing with characters, a method called ASCII art. This method was used because text uses much less space on a hard drive, and in the early days of computing - when 2 Gigabyte hard drives were considered huge - every byte counted. The art nouveau frame is reproduced using very few bites to great effect.".

Designer Shannon Mcleod (above) says that Grave Goods, "is the transformation of a found metal box - something that is no longer desired for its original purpose and redefining its use. The boxes are customized and divided in order to store jewelry. From the exterior they mask their new purpose, acting as a safeguard to their precious contents. By mining the detritus of our ‘throw away’ society a new life is given to the discarded object.".
