... is the question! We got 645 votes all told for the top three interview questions and "The world is already full of stuff; why do you make/design more?" came out on the very top with 36% of the vote. Congratulations to Andrew who submitted that question and congrats too to Chris who submitted not just one, but the other two in the top three (34.9% and 29.1% respectively).
For a couple of weeks now we’ve been on the quest for the best interview questions. 25 questions were submitted and more than 1500 votes gathered. We then asked MoCo Loco readers to vote to determine which of the three final questions was the best. Here below are the final three questions in order of votes received:
1) The world is already full of stuff; why do you make/design more?
2) What two modern day conveniences can you not live without? How you would change/improve them?
3) Art Deco, Mid-Century, Post-Modern… is it possible to describe the ‘design’ era we're currently in?
Andrew thus wins Phaidon’s new Josef Muller- Brockmann coffee table book (“The first comprehensive monograph on the life and work of pioneering Swiss graphic designer who created many of the twentieth century’s most significant and memorable posters.").
And Chris will get two original Jimi wallets, “a compact, water resistant and colorful alternative to that stodgy, old wallet that attracts old receipts and out of date library cards like a paper magnet. Jimi™ wallet holds just the essentials: five cards, a few bills, and even has a detachable money clip if you need to go super slim”.
Thanks again to all who participated! Our first interview featuring these new questions will appear here shortly.

Congrats, Andrew! That's a great question (one I wrestle with almost daily), and a super-hot book. Feel good!
I like the difference, the world needs the differences.
