The delightfully named FPD34AD answers the question “what does a minimalist SMEG refrigerator look like”? SMEG lurches into the 21st century with a design that sheds the fifties look in favor of a simple rectangle, a funky handle and lots of colors. Via Appliancist.

+ pompom arkitekter "is a newly started architecture company from Halmstad, Sweden. In our work until now we have focused on new ways of living in functional and aesthetic pleasing homes which not only rich people can afford.". There are nine models in all on their site including the Z House above.

+ The David Shamlin Project by Buildsense, sponsors of Design Expo Raleigh.

+ Piet Hein Eek's scrapwood cribs @ daddytypes.

No offense to pompom arkitekter, but those are the shittiest images I've ever seen passed off as professional. I have done way better looking stuff with SketchUp and Photoshop when I was a freshman in college. on their website one of the materials inside the garage is from the "sketchy materials" color pallette and was meant for crappy roads, not the interiors of supposedly well-designed homes. I mean, doesn't this company at least need autoCAD to build any of these houses? And one more thing, easy on the lens flare there dude. Ok, that was a rant, and now its done, I apologize.
