This week's MoCo picks.

+ Trailer park magic, turn a non-descript trailer home into a contemporary house with UofC Boulder College of Architecture and Planning's TrailerWrap. Via Josh Spear, "TrailerWrap comes in the form of a simple, affordable kit that can be assembled easily by just a few people.".

+ Alessi isn't just about kitchen accessories (or cars) but now entire kitchens with four designs by Alessandro Mendini, "the kitchen is a place of culinary and sentimental magic" @ Trendir.

+ Hapuku Lodge treehouses, "a unique accommodation experience of sleeping amongst the branches...". Via Cool Hunter.

+ Casa Camino a Farellones Chilean mountain hideaway by Architects Nuñez + Valdes @ plataforma arquitectura.

+ NordicDesignBlog's interview with architect Tommie Wilhelmsen; "Drawing architecture is for me very much like daydreaming. You can imagine anything.".

+ Giles Miller’s Corrugated Cardboard Laptop Case, "Sturdy, stylish, and completely sustainable, the cardboard lining the front of Miller’s tree-loving creation is 100% recycled, and the unique fluting gives its wearer the option to personalize it with custom designs such as one’s initials (or an apple logo — as shown here)" @ Inhabitat.

+ grandma´s revenge, a "compact unit that unravels to offer a plethora of functions. The seemingly flat, elevation-like panel folds, extends and opens to reveal a functional kitchen and dining area complete with dishwasher, chopping area, oven, refrigerator, table, chairs, and lamp" designed by Melanie Olle + Ilja Oelschlägel @ designboom via Core77.

+ Carrie Weston and The Grateful Palate's BLT ring "composed of five stackable individual rings—a bacon ring, a tomato ring, a lettuce ring and two bread rings—it's available in Sterling Silver" @ Cool Hunting.

+ Superdesign's Sudoku wallpaper "for waitingrooms, toilets, cafés and such" @ design*sponge.

+ Bleu Ltd's Capsule Radio "is turned on by pulling both sides apart to open. The volume and tuning are adjusted by twisting the middle panels. To turn off the radio, push both sides together to close.". Via DESIGNSPOTTER.

+ Skip Hop ~ it’s not just for babies and parents @ NOTCOT, The [diaper] Toolbox "is also perfect for CD’s on top, pens+markers+xacto knives on the sides".

+ The Device, "The only process indicating apparatus you'll ever need!", possibly the world's first hand crafted luxury computer peripheral. Featuring two analog dials, a test tube that glows from dim to bright, and a red incandescent lamp, each feature can be controlled independently to convey whatever information you assign to it.
+ Reality sometimes sucks, Adriean at Land+Living reviews HGTV's Design Interns TV show.
+ UnBeige's Jen Bekman interview, the gallery owner and blogger was the creator of Unbeige, she tells of her predilection for design, owning an art gallery and the lack of women in the Tokion conference lineup.
+ Top 10 ad-tricks in Tokyo’s train stations would definitely stimulate long lost ad guy neurons - if I still had them.

I like the sudoku wall paper. A few years back, when I moved to Montreal, my girlfriend's brother had this huge appartment on Saint-Denis Street. Four of us were sharing the appartment.
The bathroom walls were painted black matte, the ceiling was white to allow adequate lighting. In the bathroom, there were always chalks. We would use the chalks to write a poem, draw something or leave a message.
It was a precursor of the sudoku wall paper. I liked it a lot as I was studying graphic design at Concordia University back then.
Since then, the john has always remained a good place to think and sketch things out...
...man..this Chilean house is outstanding..
here in Uruguay, and also in Argentina there are plenty of modern architecture, but the architects don't have url's !!!
cheers
