IIDEX 2006: North South Project
by Greg / September 29, 2006

We visited the IIDEX Neocon in Toronto this week. Designer Patty Johnson launched a new model of viable design & craft collaboration called North South Project. The project spans the globe to bring sustainable and socially-conscious design objects made in the Southern hemisphere to the Northern market. Our favorites were the beautiful traditional African motifs in bowls by the Etsha weavers, and the Wai Wai weavers lighting. More after the jump. JGB

Wow! These people are real trailblazers. Our world needs so many more bright and courageous people who are willing to take a stand and go in business while remaining true to their beliefs.

Thanks for bringing this great stuff to us!
