More Molo, Float is now a full line of hand-made glassware / barware for hot or cold use. We were originally captivated by the Float Tea Lantern, but now the line extends to various glasses and bowls. The collection includes a new item called Animal Soup (above), which looks like an rooster on an island in the middle of a bowl (there's a bird in my soup). Also new from Molo, Love Letter lamps that use electroluminescent film as the light source combined with their
Felt Rocks. "Using a dry erase marker a message can be written directly on the film, which will then glow like candlelight as the surrounding light darkens. If desired, a thin object such as a leaf can be inserted into the envelope to create a different effect.".

Float Animal Soup bowl.

More of the Float collection...

...and a Felt Rock.

The Love Letter lamp is actually a series of lamps with unique characteristics such as... "As the power source to the electroluminescent film is low voltage (DC 12v), we have chosen to display the inner workings of the power inverter as a mini city scape, rather than hiding this part away in a black box. There is also a playful addition to this part that makes each light unique.".

I'm a big fan of Molo products. I bought some of the glass cups for drinking tea, but find they work just as well for whiskey on the rocks! There's something I love about how the interior liquid is the shape of a sphere; especially with colored liquids.
Oooh... Those Float glasses are great. I do need some new barware for my new apartment.
Again, the post-it note. And this one lights up too!
Please blame Ingo Maurer for this most "disposable" concept and try to come up with something original.
And for heaven's sake- don't do a lamp that consists of nothing but a bare light bulb! I can't take it anymore. (Besides- The MOMA Gift Shop already has 75 versions of this lame idea.)
Art, there is no light bulb in Love Letter, that's what makes it special. The "light" is electroluminescent film that one can write on.
I'm aware of that, Harry.
Thank you. Art
