It’s always great to see an artist having fun and Jan von Holleben ensures his viewers join in as well by staging lively action shots – while his subjects lie on the ground. Great work if you can get it.

From creatures in the sea to birds in the sky, Jenny Kendler casts a protective net of her art over the natural world.

How MoCo is latch-hooking? Well, Grandma didn’t turn out scenes of Disneyworld danger on her rugs, but Rob Conger sure does. Also in his rug repertoire are portraits from the worlds of politics and finance.

Trace Drury’s characters are adorable enough to inhabit Happytown, but it seems the cuteness quotient is a cover for the slightly macabre…

We’ve all seen pavement drawings, but Julian Beever takes his sidewalk art to another dimension. Beever’s in-depth 3D illusion scenes can take up to 3 days to complete, but are well worth the wait. SM
