XSmall, Old Ideas/New Objects is Ron Gilad’s solo exhibition on now at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum thru June 18th. The exploration of small includes, Chandelier (above) a four inch wide sterling silver, Austrian crystal and acrylic chandelier with 13 LED bulbs, Ashtray, a seven inch high silver plated brass George Nelson Miniature Coconut Chair by Vitra, Street Light, a 60" high concrete and silver plated metal street light with LED lights and Bell, a refashioned Baccarat goblet with suspended diamond.
