Kou chandelier
by Greg / May 25, 2006

Based in Staffordshire, England, ITEM specializes in traditionally crafted, yet contemporary in style, sculptural china lighting. Their newest addition to the collection is called KOU. Made from hundreds of unglazed bone china spokes that form a dramatic starburst, the chandelier creates a stunning centre piece for the home. In low ambient light, the distinctive dark tips become strikingly visible. JGB

That's beautiful, makes me wish my ceiling was 4 feet higher. Thank you for a great site.

Unglazed bone china seems like an appropriate if not commonly used medium for lighting...or maybe I've been living in a cave for a long time. But anyways, this piece is really stunning.
