And often enough, the British were the friendliest of the exhibitors, happy and enthusiastic about their work and thrilled to discuss it. The same could not be said for many of the rest: bitchy, snooty, and generally unpleasant (perhaps it was my student sticker - although people seem to forget I could very easily be a client within months).
