Architect Nicolas Fones of F3 arquitectos is the designer of the geodesic dome (above) used by eco-tourist hotel Elqui Domos in Chile. It’s one of just seven astronomy hotels worldwide. Yup, stargazing. The domes have two storeys; on the first floor a living room and the bathroom, and on the second the main bed and a detachable roof over it, and of course, a telescope. The domes are also sold as country homes by Ecodomos.
