Casa Minga
by / May 18, 2006

Pre-fab from Chile. Just spoke with architect Francisco Vergara from F3 arquitectos. As we discovered early on when we began MoCo Loco, great design knows no borders. F3’s portfolio is testament to that. Casa Minga is a pre-fab home designed by F3 architect Alejandro Dumay and produced by Espacio Minga in Chile. Francisco mentioned that, just as in North America, pre-fab isn’t selling all that well even though it’s a popular concept. Stick-built still rules, so much so that they’ve designed stick-built homes inspired by their pre-fab design. Case in point, see Casa Maria Pinto after the jump.

What a fantastic design! Wouldn't it be amazing to update New Orleans with such inspired homes as these?
