Last year, Bernardaud, one of France’s most prestigious (and traditional) fine porcelain makers teamed up with 5.5 Designers for a project titled Workers- Designers. On show last week, and destined for NYC this weekend, an entirely new porcelain collection created by introducing “creative disturbances” in the manufacturing process. The artisans were asked to change the way they approached their work. Guided by the designers, floral designs once meant for the outside of a sauciere found their way inside, and elsewhere traditional ornate designs were subtly replaced by numerical digits. The result is a tableware collection with the allure of fine porcelain, but with a distinctly modern aesthetic.

It is moco, but could fit in a little bit with traditional style, don't you think?
This is a good point of discussion. I think its definitely Moco. However I don't think its "traditional", though it makes great reference to traditional ornamental styling. The new twist makes it "post" modern, but nonetheless contemporary, and unquestionably cool. I love the concept! It really makes my head spin!
