Pentagon

This is why I like Tobias Wong. Here’s the official blurb for Pentagon, the sofa:

“Tobias Wong, a New York based conceptual designer, has joined forces with renowned furniture designer Niels Bendtsen to create the Pentagaon sectional sofa. This sectional is comprised of two modular pieces. In its complete form, it is a new take on Alexander Girard's Conversation Pit and harks back to period in history that shares a similar political climate with the present. Though the conceptual basis for the project is to exhibit the sectional in the full pentagonal shape, Pentagon's unique 108 degree corner pieces invites for new forms to be created.”

And here’s what you might not know, via Tobias. "Some other interesting details: Mimicking the C,D and E rings of The Pentagon building, Niels decided to divide the sofa into 3 comfort zones (supporting your back, arse, and legs). These outer rings are also the parts of the building damaged on 9/11. A and B rings of the building were untouched.".

Pentagon is currently in full production.
