Amy Rice brought our attention to a Minneapolis arts collective called Pilot Arts, so this week we featured several artists found there, like James Wrayge and his abstract oil paintings.

John Diebels precise collages can usually be summed up as East Bloc Meets Graphic Novel a striking combination. And terrific inspiration to pull a sickie.

More collage work came to the forefront by way of Jennifer Davis and her intricate use of found images. Old-fashioned paper dolls figure prominently in her line-up.

Michael Sweere may well be the Gaudi of consumer packaging mosaics. A neat spin on landscapes.

Things take on a more serious tone in the paintings and portraits of Ben Olson.

And Terrence Payne's oil pastels, all tidy sophistication, are a great way to bring the week to a close. SM
