Kinnasand, a player on the commercial and private textile scene, presented a new laser cut fabric at the IMM Cologne. Almost paper-like in character, Snow (the new fabric) has a burnout pattern that allows the play of light and shadow, a clean update on the more traditional eyelet. Kinnasand uses their fabrics for curtains, upholstery and accessories, so it is not difficult to see how the innovation of a laser cut material could easily fit into a wide range of design uses. SM
