The first week of the year brought Spaceblooms to Art MoCo, a cosmic fantasy garden of sci-fi plantlife. Spaceblooms grow on their own website, but are also available in book form.

The photography of Richard Misrach was also featured to remind us of how tiny and lonely we can be, amidst the vastness of all that surrounds us and Massimo Vitali’s new works show how busy we can be, even during our down time.

Dorothy Napangardi’s subdued paintings of pathways through the Australian desert were in high contrast to Abetz/Drescher’s moody pop music musings which bordered on the psychedelic. Good thing we started off with the peace and quiet of the True North, video stills by Isaac Julien. SM
