Alon Meron's Lucid table "is a result of a study of the triangular relationship; man-table-vessels". Meaning it's art. What should be on the table is in the table, the ceramic tableware is trapped in epoxy and suspended with steel legs. A lot of Alon's work is about taking familiar objects and making them function "in new ways while rendered useless in others.". His Pot Table uses a pot as a hinge, the Spine table uses vertebrae shaped cups to bind two halves of a table, and the Padlock Hanger, locks to create a coat hanger. Read more about Alon here. See more images after the jump. Thanks Alon!
