This beauty was designed by Paolo Rizzato and Alberto Meda for Luceplan. It's one of my favourite pieces of all time and it can definitely be a gorgeous gift. StarLed is the 21st century candle that will light your way anywhere without electric wires; in fact it uses ordinary rechargeable batteries. Available in two versions, with transparent or metallized body, it's light will last about four hours before you have to recharge it. GP
