A Cupful of Simplicity
by / October 17, 2005

A Cupful of Simplicity is a collection of three coffee-tables in aluminium and glass, each produced with just one piece of aluminum. The design and inspiration comes from origami, the ancient Japanese art of paper-folding. Of Vita, another design (after the jump), designer Cecilia Lundgren says "My intention was to create a very simple and stylistic table, without excessive details but very different from the contemporary products. The table is therefore produced in one single piece of acrylic, where the table-legs have a primary function as a magazine rack. The name VITA is derived from the Latin word for "life", referring to the living idiom.". Cecilia Lundgren and Erika Norberg are the principals of the Swedish design firm Cupful Design.
