The latest version of James Clar’s 3D Display Cube is a white hand-made LED display that allows for three-dimensional imagery. Photoshop and After Effects files can be imported to the display, as well as other interactive peripherals such as a 3D Pong game and various spatial screen-savers. Clar’s lighting design brings us a variety of concepts that use different types of light, especially fluorescent tubes, for wide-ranging effects. Energy, Form 1 and One & Two are good examples of what Clar has been up to this year. SM
