Amsterdam’s Lute Suites boutique accommodations feature the work of Marcel Wanders, notably his Soap bath which sits proudly in the centre of the Suite 5’s “wetroom” which takes up the whole mezzanine. The bath, designed for Bisazza and featured at the recent Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan, is a smooth, albeit giant, bar of luxury soap, not unlike a de-yoked hardboiled egg. The Lute Suites are owned by Dutch chef Peter Lute, so in addition to being a showcase for Wanders’ designs, offer guests access to gastronomical, as well as visual, delights. SM
