B&B’s new collection is impressive, not only because of the quantity of new pieces but also because of the names behind them; Patricia Urquiola, Antonio Citterio, Naoto Fukasawa, Ettore Sottsass, Marcel Wanders, Jean Marie Massaud and Ora-Ito. Patricia Urquiola's Tufty-Time (above) is a review of the classic Capitonné and Chesterfield, a design exercise that has kept the Spanish designer quite busy this year. Digitable is a small aluminium table that's water jet drilled and characterized by a particular pattern obtained through water shearing. Fukasawa enriches the collection with Shelf X, a bookcase made of Corian with high graphic impact, and a series of table and desk accessories inspired by nature's shapes and colours. Branded French designer Ora-Ito has designed Fly, a white chaise longue with orange upholstery with a classic touch. Antonio Citterio gives voice to the new rituals of contemporary lifestyle with his seat system Arne, an innovative modular set of elements that, thanks to their dynamic shapes, allow for endless configurations. The system includes sofa modules but also curved wood containers and a low table. GP
