We've added a box ad (two postings down from the top). In a previous internet company job, during the bubble, we used to have this debate all the time. How much advertising is enough? Speak to readers/users and you'll get a mixed bag of reactions. Most of it centered around how intrusive the ads were (pop-ups and pop-unders were universally despised). But if advertising was done in an elegant way, so that the ads didn't distract too much from the content and they were relevant, related somehow to the content, it sometimes enhanced the experience. We're going to try to do this elegantly, that is, make sure the ads aren't intrusive and aren't always for Vonage or MS Office. Let me know what you think, drop me a line at harry@mocoloco.com.
