Natural light collector and diffuser respectively.
Made by the Swedish Parans, Skyport is a light collecting panel that sits on your rooftop to transmit light into your home. It uses a fibre-optic wire, called SunWire, to send the light to specially designed 'lamps', in this instance a model called Bjork that replicates "the sun striking through the foliage of a forest" (Bjork is the Swedish word for birch tree). The light can be transported up to 15 meters. With a 7 meter cable, the light intensity can reach 4000 lux. Two SkyPorts mounted on an angle makes it possible to bring in both the morning- and afternoon sun. Thanks David! Via near near future.
