Vertigo

Bottomless coffee table.
From Sweden's Offecct and designer Eero Koivisto, we get vertigo staring down at the Vertigo Table's glass surface... made with "spy glass" an additional pane of mirrored glass sits in the lower shelf, which creates an optical illusion of bottomless depth. The idea for Vertigo came to Koivisto while standing in an elevator. "When he looked in the mirrors inside the lift, Eero discovered the multi-dimensional effect created by two facing mirrors.". Also from Offecct, Woob, a lounge chair with an integrated ‘table’, Cell, a table made with a technical plastic made up of small cells (developed by ski company Blizzard in Austria), and Float, a sofa that appears to float thanks to a mirror plinth which reflects the floor surface.

Float, a sofa that appears to float thanks to a mirror plinth which reflects the floor surface. "Eero came up with the idea for FLOAT when he saw the Sandspeeder in a Star Wars movie, and found out how the film-makers had used mirrors to give the illusion that the craft was floating.".
