Dining table with integrated burner.
Or is it a stove with an integrated dining table? Either way, you can cook and eat at the same place. From Montreal-based design company Papillon, the table is made entirely of steel and also features two extra hollow spaces that act as food warmers. Their tables are inspired by the slow-food movement which "value a simple and nutritional cuisine that is prepared and shared with family or amongst friends.". Multi-disciplinary, they've also designed a remarkable three-season kitchen, some steel shelving, and a partition in addition to their all-steel kitchen appliances.

3-season kitchen. "The challenge in this project was to design a discreet building that would yield attention to its surroundings. Three of four walls are built in glass and the ceiling, in transparent polycarbonate. Here, light travels with no obstacles, and the viewer’s gaze is unobstructed. The choice of materials is directly related to the traditional function of a summer kitchen, a site focused on outdoor life during the warm seasons.".

Steel workspace. "When we were assigned the design of the workspace in their Montreal loft, our clients were worried that steel would create a heavy effect in the room, but the opposite happened! The space is open and visually bright; tables seem to be floating in the air.".
